Whine & Roses 
The art of life unfolds with a whirlwind of events, emotions, and exchanges. Some take us to the heights of fulfillment, while others leave us feeling let down. We sometimes see the whole picture in full panoramic view. Then there are times when it seems that pieces of the puzzle are perpetually missing.
At Whine & Roses we recognize that both ends of the spectrum are constantly present, along with everything in between. Originally this webzine was a collaboration between two writers — one focusing on whiny humor and the other entertaining with rosy inspiration. Since then it has evolved into recognizing that both can coexist simulaneouly within the same post. Dave Tomczyk (a confirmed optimistic visionary) continues this tradition in the “Most Recent Four” section of Daily Messages. This webzine proposes that both the swells of churning seas and the calm waters of tropical lagoons must be navigated to strike a balance which defines the happy space we all desperately seek. (The archived whine posts may still be referenced by clicking “Whine” on the “Post Categories” drop down menu on the sidebar at the right or by using the search function at the bottom of each page.)
Each weekday (Monday through Friday, and please don’t whine if we miss a day or two along the way 
) your glass gets filled with a light-hearted whine concerning our daily trials, folded into a bouquet of aromatic encouragement. This reminds us of the sweet scent of coexistence we share with all of creation (including ourselves). You may find some other goodies snuck in from time to time.
The intention is to make the journey more tolerable as we all seek our personal nirvanas while wading through a world that sometimes smiles on us and sometimes bites us on the behind. Please laugh at the humorous satire. Realize you’re not alone in your own feelings of frustration. Feel validated in appreciating all aspects of your humanness; as well as being joyful and uplifted by inspirational messages. Remember the wonder available to us in each moment. About Dave 
Dave can honestly say with a straight face that he’s been a butcher, a baker, and a candlestick maker. He’s spent the last 20 years deducing patterns from numbers as a statistician. Which is just a refinement of his lifelong pursuit of discerning patterns from life’s events as a single wave of consciousness in the oneness of the infinite universe.
Dave is a visionary, an idealist, an optimist. He realizes the glass is neither half empty nor half full. It’s always full! One half is filled with water and the other half is filled with air.
Dave is a believer in both physics and metaphysics, following the scientific method while still practicing shamanism, reiki, and Rosicrucianism.
To increase effectiveness in his mission of helping others become aware of and follow their “inner voice,” Dave’s studies led to ordination as an interfaith minister. His spiritual convictions reside in the here and now; taking the bounty laid out so generously before us to provide all we need to realize our mutual happiness and peaceful coexistence. His unconventional ministry has found it’s way onto the worldwide web in Whine & Roses.
Always learning and growing, at this point Dave claims to be a writer, poet, actor, mystic, statistician, and ordained interfaith minister. He revels in the wonder perpetually surrounding him as he continues to evolve. His motto is, “Every day that I wake up and see the ceiling is a good day!”
